Capitol at Harrisburg

Pattern Category: Places

Series: Tams Foliage Border

Object Type: Dinner and Dessert Wares

  • Height: 12 inches
  • Width: 15 inches

This large soup tureen depicts the Capitol buildings in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.  It is part of a small series named for the trees with heavy foliage border. Tams, under  S. Tams & Co, as well as Tams, Anderson & Tams, was apparently the Importer, not the maker, and there are only a few American views, with this border, (See United States Hotel) and a Wild Rose and Leaves border (See Capitol, Washington).
